Motorola on Tuesday has launched its latest two mobiles in the Mid-range segment, Moto G5S and Moto G5S plus. Lenovo owned Motorola has launched the mobile after 6 months of its predecessor launch, Moto G5. The company is aggressively trying to enter the India market and expand its base.
The price of its predecessor Moto G5 has dropped from Rs. 16,999/- to Rs. 14,999/- after its release. The new mobiles are said to be an upgrade of Moto G5 in the areas of camera and body material. Whether it is a good upgrade in the price range lets see.
Both the mobiles, Moto G5S and G5S Plus comes in lunar grey and fine gold colour. Hence the user will not have the option of white colour. Moto G5S comes at Rs. 13,999/- and Moto G5S plus comes at Rs. 15.999/-. Both the mobiles will be available in retail outlets, Moto’s offline store Moto Hub and Amazon Store.

Operating System and Processor:
Both the mobile comes with Android 7.1 Nougat operating system and Qualcomm Snapdragon 430, 1.4 Ghz Octa processor.
The smaller variant, Moto G5S, comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage and Moto G5S plus comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The internal storage for both the mobiles can be expanded upto 128GB with the help of Micro SD card.
Display, Camera and Video:
Moto G5S comes with 5.2 inch Full HD display (1920×1080) with 16:9 aspect ratio and corning Gorilla Glass 3. Moto G5S plus comes with 5.5 inch with same display and same aspect ratio and glass.
Moto G5S contains 16MP rear camera with single LED flash and f/2.0 aperture. It is capable to zoom the photos 8 times and videos by 4 times. Also it can capture Video at 1080p. The front shooter is 5MP wide angle with LED flash
Moto G5S plus comes with dual 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash. It is capable to zoom the photos 8 times and videos by 4 times. Also it can capture Video at 4K. The front shooter is 8MP wide angle with LED flash.
Body, Battery and weight:
The successor mobile is a metal unibody and water repellent.
Both the body has 3000mAh battery with turbo charge but where G5S is claimed to give 5 hours of power in 15 minutes, G5S plus gives 6 hours of power in 15 minutes of charging.
G5S weighs 157g and G5Splus weighs 168g.
Both the mobile supports dual nano SIM with 4G support.
